During a news conference on April 11, the US State Department spokesperson warned Iran not to inflame tensions.
"US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met with the foreign ministers of Turkey, China, and Saudi Arabia and asked them to urge Iran not to escalate tensions."
The US State Department spokesperson went on to say, "We are still aware of the threat of escalating tensions in the Middle East and have attempted to mitigate it since the October 7 attacks. The rising tensions in the region are detrimental to everyone, the region, and the world."
The speaker also emphasized that the Biden administration will provide "iron support" to Tel Aviv in the event of an attack on Israel.
