Ehsan Faridi, 21, a Tabriz University student and student movement activist, has been detained uncertain circumstances for 220 days.
This was reported by the sources close to his family.
According to reports, Faridi has yet to be sentenced despite the fact that he was arrested and tried in the Revolutionary Court more than seven months ago.
"His trial was conducted without a lawyer and via videoconference. Although he was accused of security issues, the specifics of his charges were not disclosed", according to the report.
Faridi was given an 18-month prison sentence for the portion of his case that was tried in the Tabriz Criminal Court in September of last year.
Following that, on August 2, 2024, and December 11, 2024, the young student was tried by video conference in the Tabriz Revolutionary Court.
Notably, on May 19, Ehsan Faridi, a student at Tabriz University's Faculty of Construction and Production Engineering, was called before the General and Revolutionary Court, whereupon he was taken into custody and taken to the city's central prison.
Regarding the charges against him, no statement was made. Security personnel had previously detained Farid on March 8 and released him following ten days of questioning.
