Israeli strikes on targets in Iran, which began in the early hours of Friday, June 13, have continued into the morning of Saturday, June 14. Iran’s air defense systems were heavily activated in cities such as Tehran, Isfahan, Zanjan, and Ahvaz, with the sound of anti-aircraft fire heard in many areas.
In Tehran, several districts — including around Mehrabad Airport, Aghdasiyeh, and Hakimiyeh — were targeted, and explosions were reported in those areas. Air defense activity continued throughout the night near the Pasteur district. Explosions were also heard in Zanjan, with some reports indicating a military base in the city was attacked.
In Karaj, videos showed an explosion in the Kouh-e Azimiyeh area. While some domestic media reported that a telecommunications tower was the target, local residents claimed a radar system was hit.
Citizens also shared footage of the Bidganeh missile base west of Tehran, reporting that the base was struck after launching missiles toward Israel. Thick plumes of smoke were seen rising from the site.
