The United States has deployed three aircraft carriers to the Middle East for the first time in years, significantly increasing its military presence in the region, according to reports.
The deployment falls under US Central Command (CENTCOM), which oversees American forces in the Middle East. The move is seen as a major escalation amid ongoing tensions linked to the Iran conflict.
According to available information, the USS George H.W. Bush has entered the region, joining the USS Abraham Lincoln in the Arabian Sea and the USS Gerald R. Ford in the Red Sea.
The presence of three carrier strike groups marks the highest level of US naval deployment in the region in over two decades and greatly expands Washington’s military capabilities.
Analysts say the move boosts US firepower and operational flexibility, particularly in enforcing maritime operations and increasing pressure on Iran during the ongoing conflict.
