“Iran’s attack on our country constitutes a clear violation of Qatar’s sovereignty,” Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, said, according to GunazTV.
Al Thani also addressed the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, noting that its closure had severely disrupted Qatar’s exports.
“Qatar accounts for approximately one-fifth of global liquefied natural gas (LNG) trade, and any disruption to this sector affects markets and consumers alike,” he said.
The Qatari emir added that safeguarding the security and sovereignty of the Gulf states was non-negotiable.
