GünAzTv: İranın sözdə futbol milli taxımının (tim) Fars Şahzadələri adlandırılması İranda yaşayan başqa millətlər xüsusi ilə Azərbaycan türklərinin ciddi etirazına səbəb olub.

Bu zəmində Güney Azərbaycan saytları və KİV-ləri kəskin etiraz yazıları dərc diblər. Avropada yaşayan soydaşlarımızda müxtəlif bəyanatlarla bu irqçı hərəkətə öz kəskin etirazlarını bildiriblər.

Məhz bu mövzu ilə bağlı “Azər Cəmiyyəti”-də öz etirazını məktub şəklində FIFA ve AFC-ya bildirib. Məktubda İranda yaşayan digər millətlər o cümlədən əhalinin əsas hissəsini təşkil edən Azərbaycan türkləri vurğulanıb. İdman ortamının irqçıliyə çevrilməməsini xatırladan məktubda bu məsələlərə diqqət yetirilməli olduğunu xüsusi vurğulayıb.

Subject: Racist slogan used by Iranian national team during 2011 AFC Asian Cup

Dear Sir/Madam,

You may already know that Iran is a multi-ethnic country consisting of different ethnic groups. Persian (Farsi speaking folk) and Azerbaijanis represent two major ethnic groups meanwhile Kurds, Arabs, Baluchis, Turkmen and Lori together represent roughly between 15 and 25% of the population. Some fact books in the world estimate Iranian Azerbaijanis as much as 24 % meanwhile other sources like United Nation sponsored institution Ethnologue.com estimates as many as 38%. However, regardless these figures on ethnic groups, a considerable quantity of soccer players in Iranian national team come from other ethnicity than Persian. While ethnical discrimination is one of the most serious problems in Iran, choosing the slogan of “Princes of Persia” by Iranian football team for AFC Asian Cup is an obvious violation of human rights of other ethnicities in Iran.

In addition, we recognize that racism is not tolerated in the sport communities and therefore we write you initially to inform how Iranian national team violate the basic values of FIFA and Asian Football Confederation and secondly ask you to take any measurement to stop using such a racist slogan.
